It begins by helping you shift out of the busyness of your day, simply noticing what you bring into the space – any tension, ache, mental spinning, or perhaps relief at having created a moment just for yourself. There is no need to fix anything; the focus is on awareness and allowing yourself to settle, supported by a few spacious, sighing breaths to signal to your nervous system that it is safe to rest here.​

From there, you are guided into a calming “golden thread” style of breath: inhaling through the nose and exhaling through softly parted lips, as if gently blowing the breath away in a long, even stream. You are invited to visualise this out-breath as a golden river or thread flowing from the mouth, gradually smoothing and lengthening with each cycle.
